Mr. Incredible, The Everyday Heroby Tommy F. The Incredibles is an awesome movie because it's not just a bunch of cool fight scenes for no reason. Every character has an interesting and understandable motivation for their actions and we feel invested in the outcome when things become larger than life. The center of all these motivations is Mr. Incredible himself. He gets into trouble with his wife (Elastigirl, AKA Helen Parr) because he wants to sneak out to secretly fight crime. He doesn't understand his kids. Syndrome's desire for respect from him turned into a need for revenge. The plot hinges on Bob and the Pixar animators and Craig T. Nelson really bring his struggle to life in an empathetic manner. Mr. Incredible's frustrations and victories really felt like my own and that's why Bob is my favorite character and The Incredibles is definitely my favorite Pixar movie so far.
