Finding Nemo Birthday Cake
The Centerpiece of Your Party

Many talented bakers have come up with really wonderful designs that are inspirational enough to give us our own ideas of what's possible to create for the big day.

Do you want a square cake with a special Finding Nemo design or a Nemo-shaped cake? There are multi-tiered cakes, both round and square that are works of art, like the photo shown on the left.

You can create your own world and the "sea" is the limit with what you can put on the cake. If you want a pre-made Nemo and Dory to adorn your cake, this finishes off your work of edible art. I like that these toppers can be used as toys after the party is all done.

Finding Nemo birthday cake pans are non-existent at this point, but don't let that discourage you if you want to make a fish-shaped birthday cake. One alternative is to use a tropical fish cake pan and then use Nemo's orange, white and black colors to frost the cake. It looks pretty good when it's done!

Another method you can use is get a football-shaped cake pan for Nemo's body. You can then, if you wish, make standard rectangle cake and then put the football-shaped cake on the top of the rectangle cake for a dual layer. Decorate the football shape and make it look like Nemo, "drawing" the tail in frosting on the rectangle.

Don't want the bottom rectangle cake? No problem, the football-shaped cake will still look fantastic on a cake board with the frosting for the tail extended out onto the board. Place some gummy sea creatures around it to complete the look of your Finding Nemo birthday cake.

And how about serving cupcakes? Cupcakes are a very popular alternative to traditional birthday cakes and the variety of designs you can create is just as limitless.

The photo on the right is one of the newer trends you often see in bakeries where the cupcakes are grouped together into a shape and the frosting is spread level across the tops of the cakes. You then create your design on the top much the same way you would a traditional birthday cake.

On the other hand, if you love the individual look of cupcakes and don't have a hand for design, your cupcakes can still look gorgeous with these adorable They have a holographic background and can be kept as a party favor.
