Hopper Returns to Ant Islandby Christine L. Charlemagne This is my favorite scene in A Bug's Life movie because it really establishes Hopper as a believable villain and adds a lot of depth. It also gives the audience a solid reason to be on the ants side and sets them up as the films underdogs who have a major problem to overcome. Hopper was this movies most memorable character for me because he is not a typical villain; he is just a bug. But he is depicted in such a way that makes him truly authentic. When I watch this movie, I am always amazed at how I can view a grasshopper like I view him. He also had a lot of funny one linershe was delightfully sarcastic, which is my favorite characteristic in a villain. |
