Toy Story 2 Video Clip:
Woody Gets All Fixed Up

In Toy Story 2, Al McWhiggin is the dishonest and greedy toy collector who brings Woody back to his apartment after stealing him from Andy's yard sale. Al hires Geri the Cleaner, the man who restores and fixes toys, to make Woody look just like new for the toy museum in Tokyo Al hopes to sell his collection to.

This video scene shows how Geri the Cleaner fixes Woody: he's sitting in a chair as if he was at a dentist's office, complete with the paper napkin. We see Geri going through his supply case, carefully choosing the airbrush paints to cover the "bald spot" in Woody's hair or to restore the blush in Woody's cheeks.

Geri very gently cleans Woody's eyes with a cotton bud dipped into a solution that makes them bright and shiny again, and carefully stitching up Woody's ripped arm. Lastly and sadly we see Geri the Cleaner painting over Andy's name on the bottom of Woody's boot.

How do I know this is Geri? The old man is from a Pixar short film called Geri's Game where Geri plays a game of chess with himself and he switches sides of the chess board and pretends to be a different person.

If you look VERY carefully, you might see some chess pieces as Geri the Cleaner is rummaging through his case for the stuff he needs to fix up Woody. He goes fast, though, and it can be easy to miss, so get your cursor over that pause button!
