Up Movie Video Clip:
Muntz's Dog Chase Scene
In the Up movie, Charles Muntz finds out that Carl and Russell are hiding the elusive tropical bird he's been trying to catch for decades. They make a run for it and get to the house, which is tied up next to the Spirit of Adventure blimp.
Carl and Russell tether themselves with the hose and Dug the dog directs them a different way, since dogs are also coming at them from the cave's entrance.
They leap down huge boulders, the buoyancy of the house keeping the two from falling and getting hurt. When they reach the bottom, Kevin the bird scoops Carl and Russell onto her back and she takes off running at a high speed, staying ahead of the dogs.
They come to the cave's exit and many of the balloons holding up Carl's house pop from being scraped along the top; the house sinks slightly. Then a huge rock formation looms directly in the house's path and Carl manages to pull it mostly out of the way; it still gets a good bump.
The jarring jolt of the house bumping the rock causes Russell to fall off Kevin's back and he's dragged behind. Alpha, the Doberman Pinscher leader, nearly bites Russell, but Dug saves him by pushing some rocks from overhead.
Dug, who is still in his Cone of Shame, tries to stop the dogs, but they all run around him and Alpha throws him, with his jaws, off the top of a cliff where he lands on a ledge and his cone comes off.
Kevin continues to run and Russell dangles by the rope around the rock formations and back and forth as the rocks come tumbling down.
This is one of the most exciting scenes in Up!
